A week ago my five year old little girl went to a field trip with her daycare. Guess where they went? A strawberry farm. That afternoon she came home with a bucket full of handpicked strawberries. On top of that we also had strawberries which my husband brought from grocery store so we ended up with too many strawberries around here.
That's when the idea of pie making came to my mind. I always use the same basic ingredients for all my other fruit pie. Just some sugar, tapioca flour, butter, egg white to brush the top of a pie crust and pie crusts.
It was quite delicious.
(Thank you everyone for your kind comment on the Easter dress, now I am all fired up to make another one. Cant wait to share.)
That looks really delicious! And so cute with the starry holes. Strawberries are my favourite fruit and I love anything with strawberries in it, so I'm sure I'd love this pie :)
Dearest Maysa; Oh yes, what an excellent job and I wish I were with you to taste it♡♡♡ Strawberry is my favorite fruits! Night night from Japan. Sending you Lots of Love and Hugs, xoxo Miyako*

Oh I love hand picking strawberries! That's one of my favourite memories from my childhood, even with the nettle stings. That pie looks scrummy. You give your home so much tlc I feel with the baking and the sewing…
I laughed at your comment that you are living off YouTube these days. I am a sucker for TV and didn't actually understand YouTube for ages, but now that I'm in to it, I totally get why people can stay on YouTube for hours on end. And as for the languages - wow, you learned so many! I'm kind of like you, in the stages where my brain is starting to lose a few words and grammar points here and there, but for the most part I would love to keep it up and become fluent in several languages. It does take time and effort, but if you enjoy it, then why not go ahead? I wouldn't like to regret it later on in life. Rosemary x
What a fabulous trip! I wish we did these things as a kid. We went to the library, zoo, orchestra and museum. LOL Nelah, you can BAKE! I love strawberry pie and shortcake. I know you guys enjoyed! You even had a cute red pie dish to bake it in. I need cute bakeware! LOL Gorgeous pics doll!
Strawberries picking sounds like a really exciting trip for your daughter. The strawberries look absolutely divine. I love the rich red hue on them which indicates more sweetness than sour. The strawberries we have sold here are always sour and never quite a deep red colour. I'm sure your pie tasted awesome! I'm already drooling.
