Back to Nature: Zion National Park

During our stay in Las Vegas, we decided to escape the Las Vegas lights and plan a day trip to explore nature. Zion National Park was recommended by a father-in-law. The park is located in Utah which is approximately three hour drive from Las Vegas each way. I am not a big fan of road trip because so often I fall asleep instead of staying awake to enjoy the wonder and magnificient scenery that mother nature creates along the way. My husband, on the other hand, loves road trip and the idea of driving through the countryside always excites him.
After dozzing off from Las Vegas to Arizona and fianlly Utah, we made it to the park. I managed to stay awake during the last hour of road trip to enjoy at the sight and scene of the sceney in front of me. The weather in Utah was about 20 degree lower than in Vegas so it was a bit chilly. We walked along the trails and soaked up every breath of fresh air, beautiful view and each other companion. We can't wait to go back.

  1. Now that's one part of Las Vegas I've never heard of or seen before. I like that it's not just about the bright lights and casinos. The national park looks so beautiful!

  2. Gorgeous views. That's one of my favorite places. There are several parks like that in Utah, simply breath taking.

  3. Nelah, I'm so glad you guys got a chance to experience this. When I went to Las Vegas we flew into Utah for a connecting flight, so I only saw the mountains from afar. You are right about the weather there! It's definitely chillier. The photos you took are breathtaking and you looked adorable doll. Thanks for sharing this! So beautiful!

  4. So very stunning! My husband and I are dying to go to Zion National Park. I have a friend who lives in Utah so we hope to make it out there one day! Your beautiful pics are definitely tugging at my heart to make that trip fast! :)

  5. What a beautiful departure from the lights and electricity of Vegas. It's awesome that you got to experience a touch of nature as well and I bet it was even more breathtaking in person. I have a tendency to fall asleep on road trips as well :)
